Days Out in Lancashire

Lancashire hosts some of the best days out and attractions in the North West of England, from the famous seaside resort of Blackpool with its Tower and Pleasure Beach to the tranquil surroundings of the Forest of Bowland and its outstanding beauty and dramatic scenery. The summer months enable families to enjoy this county whether it’s exploring the region’s heritage or eating the famous cockles of Morecombe bay, there is plenty to do for all age groups.

For adrenaline junkies you have the amazing fun filled Pleasure Beach, where kids fill their boots with white knuckle rides and parents re-live there youth by joining in the fun! If rides are not your thing, then why not try the Sandcastle Water Park with its numerous slides and wave pool.  

Southport hosts an annual air show where you can get up close and personal to the aeroplanes, either by just watching them fly elegantly through the air or hearing the roars of the jet engines as they pass you by with a cone of fish and chips in hand, you will not be disappointed!
